In fact, it is still a reflexive emotion for the right to blame all their troubles on the hapless redneck. But they will not hear it. Just as the corporate media before the war drowned out dissenting voices this scandal will be drowned out as well. The rights ability to downplay an outing of a CIA agent, as well as pre-war intelligence by that agency countering Bush’s lies is proportionally inverse to the juvenile whining displayed by the right during the Clinton years. However, the rights inability to distinguish between the consequences of the perjury charges, one covering up lies leading us to war and a husband who didn’t want to sleep on the couch for the reminder of his term, is indicative of the intellectual and moral failings displayed by the republican party and its followers. Thank god I am on the left.
